Crowded Controller is an interactive and playful artifact and workshop that invites the audience to body-storm and explore alternative ways of playing video games. This workshop involves two goals (1) designing an alternative way to create a video game button and (2) exploring how body movements can alter the way we play games and explore different forms of input.

Selection of ‘Scraps‘

In this workshop, everything is useful, nothing is trash. We invite participants to explore the available materials based not on “what makes sense”, but “what feels interesting”. We want to explore how each material or object’s affordances invite a certain form of movement for the participant and explore how these movements, in combination with the scraps, can be turned into meaningful interactions.

An Angle into Embodiment

My main interest in this project lies in seeing how people come up with various ideas with the scraps available, but also how people are invited to move into their entire bodies to form an ‘input‘.
