Mycelium: Dutch Design Week Mini Rides

DesignLab had the opportunity to participate in Dutch Design Week’s Mini Rides for the year of 2022. Here we had the chance to create and realise an art piece of our choice which would be placed on top of a Mini Cooper during the week itself. Thus we designed the Mycelium, a set of mushrooms which are connected ‘underground’ through various roots. It is a mirror of our society in which academia, industry, Public institutions, and citizens, although seemingly different entities, we are all interconnected and dependent on each other.
